Brakspear ‘Double Dropped’ Bitter
The book says ‘double drop’ means fermentation starts in one tank, then it’s drained into another tank leaving behind all the dead yeast and other crap. Excellent depth and lengthy aftertaste surprised us considering only 3.4% (such a low alc lager would have almost no taste at all!) Dark amber colour, very dry and bitter, worth trying but not going to be a regular.

Sharp’s Doom Bar
Amber-coloured Cornish beer. Light and hoppy, ironically Sharp at first, leaves a pleasing malty taste on the tongue, with a very smooth dry finish. A great intro into ales for the lager drinker, so recommended serving temp 12° a bit high for our liking! When chilled could happily drink all day!
